Fast Track to Learning - Canvas for Little Racers (Lower Elementary)

This course is designed to help educators effectively use Canvas with young grade level students, making digital learning more accessible and engaging for early elementary grades. You will explore best practices for simplifying Canvas to meet the needs of young learners through guided demonstrations and practical applications. Throughout the course, you’ll see firsthand how I introduce my second-grade students to Canvas, including strategies for navigation, organization, and engagement. By the end of the session, you will take on the challenge of using your Canvas sandbox to create a simple, student-friendly landing page that provides easy access and supports learning for your younger students.

By utilizing Canva’s auto-play feature, you can set up center or station instructions that run on their own, allowing students to transition with ease while you focus on working with small groups. Throughout the session, you’ll experience the process of building a slideshow from start to finish, incorporating timers and visuals to keep students on track. By the end of the course, you'll take on the challenge of designing your own auto-playing rotation slides to streamline your classroom management and enhance student independence.
