The Read & Write literacy toolbar assists struggling readers and writers, benefiting over 400 students in WSD. Used by students in special education or a 504 accommodations plan, this session will illustrate how educators can utilize their free license to create vocabulary lists, level reading passages, and eliminate distracting content on webpages for all their students.
Ergonomics is an applied science that looks at human-environment relationships such as students and their chairs, desks, and even Chromebooks. We know how to make changes to software to match learning needs, but we rarely consider the users' physical needs. In this session we will explore the human-technology relationships from the ergonomic perspective. We will identify common mismatches between students and the classroom environment and provide simple solutions to improve participation in the classroom.
