Course Description: Rev up your teaching with Nearpod in this hands-on session designed to supercharge your classroom experience! Learn how to seamlessly embed YouTube videos into your lessons and enhance them with interactive questions that engage your students at every turn. We'll explore how to use Nearpod’s AI-powered tools to personalize learning, providing real-time feedback and tailored content to meet the needs of every student. In addition, discover the power of Nearpod’s math manipulatives, offering dynamic, hands-on tools for young learners to explore math concepts in an interactive and visual way. By the end of this session, you’ll have the tools to create exciting, interactive video lessons that keep students on track, motivated, and eager to learn!What Tech Tool Will Be Utilized: Nearpod
Instructional Strategy: Engagment using YouTube videos
What You’ll Experience: In this session, teachers will experience a dynamic and hands-on approach to integrating technology into their classrooms using Nearpod. They will:
  1. Learn to Embed YouTube Videos: Teachers will discover how to seamlessly embed YouTube videos into their Nearpod lessons, transforming passive video viewing into an interactive learning experience.
  2. Create Interactive Questions: Teachers will explore how to add interactive questions at different points throughout the video to keep students engaged, encourage critical thinking, and assess understanding in real-time.
  3. Utilize AI-Powered Tools: Teachers will dive into Nearpod's AI features, learning how to personalize lessons and provide tailored content that adapts to the needs of each student. This includes generating real-time feedback to guide student progress.
  4. Incorporate Math Manipulatives: Teachers will get hands-on experience with Nearpod’s math manipulatives, which are interactive, visual tools that allow younger students to explore and understand math concepts in an engaging, tangible way.
  5. Engage Students Creatively: Teachers will leave with the skills to design interactive video lessons that foster student engagement, motivation, and excitement for learning.
By the end of the session, teachers will feel confident in their ability to create rich, interactive, and personalized video lessons using Nearpod's diverse tools to enhance their students' learning experiences.
