Title: AI Prompts: Crew Chief for Students
Course Description: According to Blake Pope, "The prompt is king." The more you work with AI, the more you realize the wisdom of this motto. In this session, learn how to refine an AI prompt in order to have the most effective Crew Chief for your students' learning.
What Tech Tool Will Be Utilized: SchoolAI
Instructional Strategy: A focus on creating, previewing, and revising prompts to generate the exact results you want for your students.
What You’ll Experience: This session will be most effective for those who are at least minimally familiar with AI. We'll discuss the dos and don'ts of an effective AI prompt...especially as it applies to our *creative* students, shall we say? We'll focus on Spaces and Sidekick in SchoolAI, but the principles apply in all AI scenarios.
What Challenge You Will Do: "Fix" an existing prompt or generate a new one.

ELA/Creative Writing, Weber School District
I have taught ELA in every secondary grade over the course of my career. I understand that even though English is "my thing," it's not for my students. As a result, I constantly look for ways to make reading and writing both engaging and meaningful for students.
