Zooming Ahead: Using Canva to Accelerate Student Learning (Elementary Focus)
Thursday June 5, 2025 9:00am - 9:50am MDT
Title: Zooming Ahead: Using Canva to Accelerate Student Learning
Course Description: My students are always begging for different ways to use Canva and I've loved the creativity that is allows them, so I am more than happy to oblige. Infact, by letting them explore and play around, they have come up with fun ways to create and demonstrate new things that they've learned, bringing their lessons to life that paper and pencil doesn't allow. In this session, we will be doing just that, exploring and finding different ways to take the ordinary and supercharge it.
What Tech Tool Will Be Utilized: Canva
Instructional Strategy: We will watch, discuss, and create...coming up with new ideas individually and as a group to find the best ways to help learning in the classroom not only stick, but skyrocket with new possibilities.
What You’ll Experience: New ways for not just ourselves but also for our students to learn, create, and flourish in a fun technological way!
What Challenge You Will Do: We will create and try out several things in Canva, hopefully some that are new to you, and find ways to help bring our lessons (across several subjects) to life while having creative freedom.
